Ira Wright is a professional saxophonist from Kansas City, Kansas. She first began to play on the gospel circuit and developed an excellent ear playing in the church environment.   She formally studied Music Theory at Kansas State University. Ira is a versatile musician who plays classical, Smooth Jazz, Pop, R&B, and Gospel. She is not limited to one genre of music or style. Her style can be described as soulful and melodic. As a performer her style can also be robust and intense, reflecting her strong gospel roots. Ira mostly performs in KCK and KCMO, and travels within the United States to perform. Her philosophy as a musician is to enjoy, create, heal, share, and teach from your unique and personal blueprint in music. Her latest music project is the release of her single, "Sweet". Ira is a professional vocalist, song-writer, and music instructor and credits a musical family as being her strongest influence in music. Her uncle, saxophonist Roy Jackson, was also a large influence in her musical beginnings.
